FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - April 04, 2012 - Fung Shing International Corp., 56-29 56th Drive, Maspeth, NY 11378 is recalling STAR LIGHT Coconut Candy because it contains undeclared milk. People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to milk run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reactions if they consume this product.
The recall Star Light Coconut Candy Keo Dua comes in an un-coded, 7 oz plastic dish and was sold in New York and Ohio. It is a product of Vietnam. This product has a UPC Code 8936015503088.
The recall was initiated after routine sampling by New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets Food Inspectors and subsequent analysis of the product by Food Laboratory personnel revealed the presence of milk in packages of Star Light Coconut Candy Keo Dua.
No illnesses have been reported to date in connection with this problem.
Consumers who have purchased Star Light Coconut Candy Keo Dua should return it to the place of purchase.
